Job summary

Oroville Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to function as a provider and care coordinator under the supervision of a state-approved supervising physician. You will deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting, exercising clinical judgment to develop and implement care plans.

The role requires CA NP licensure, BLS/ACLS certifications, credentialing through the hospital Medical Staff office, and completion of crisis prevention training.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Current California Nurse Practitioner License required.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
• Current ACLS
• Credentialed through Oroville Hospital Medical Staff office required.
• Completion of crisis prevention training required.

Responsibilities

• Examines patient, takes medical history, records results, and makes preliminary diagnosis or follow‑up decisions.
• Administers or orders diagnostic tests (X‑rays, EKGs, blood work) and interprets results.
• Performs therapeutic procedures (immunizations, injections, suturing, wound care).
• Develops and implements patient care plans and counsels patients.
• Prescribes medications as allowed by state guidelines and clinic regulations.
• Provides general health education and assists in emergencies as required.
