Palomacares in Fort Worth, TX, is adding an acute care nurse practitioner to our inpatient neuro hospitalist team. You will manage neurology and stroke patients across ICU and telemetry units, conduct neurological exams, interpret imaging and tests, and participate in code stroke response and treatment planning.

Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license and ACNP certification.
• BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• At least 2 years of inpatient nurse practitioner experience.
• Strong teamwork and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage neurology and stroke patients across ICU and telemetry units.
• Perform neurological exams, imaging and test interpretation; aid code stroke response and treatment planning.

Job description

We are a Fort Worth neurology and stroke service adding an acute care nurse practitioner to our inpatient neuro hospitalist team. You will manage neurology and stroke patients across the ICU and telemetry units: neurological exams, imaging and test interpretation, code stroke response and treatment planning, working alongside neurosurgery, rehabilitation and critical care. Our team sees a broad range of conditions, including acute stroke, seizures, neurotrauma and neuromuscular disease, and takes part in quality improvement and teaching patients and families about recovery. Required: current Texas RN license and acute care nurse practitioner (ACNP) certification; BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross); at least 2 years of inpatient nurse practitioner experience; strong teamwork and documentation.

Preferred: neurology, neuro-ICU or hospitalist background; stroke certification or procedural skills such as EEG or lumbar puncture.

Schedule: Full-time, 7 days on / 7 days off. Pay: $120,000–$155,000 a year, depending on experience.
