Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Acute Care SRO Float Pool to provide direct patient care across multiple units, delivering compassionate, evidence-based treatment.

You will move between General Medicine, Oncology, Cardiology and Surgical services, embracing variety, autonomy, and continuous learning while supporting system-wide staffing needs in Charlottesville and surrounding communities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BSN required within 5 years of hire.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Virginia with AHA BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across multiple Acute General Medicine and specialty units.
• Adapt quickly to different patient populations, workflows, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Deliver care aligned with evidence-based practice and UVA Health standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Support staffing needs across high-demand areas, making a system-wide impact on patient care delivery.
