Job summary

South Shore Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Part-time Registered Nurse for SSH Imaging CT in Weymouth, MA. The role supports individualized patient care within a primary nursing model, and involves day/night rotation in a hospital setting.

The RN will perform admissions, plan and implement care, administer medications, monitor IV therapy, and document care while ensuring patient safety and transitions to discharge. Current licensure and hospital policy adherence are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Active RN license in good standing.
• Experience in acute care and PACU preferred.
• BLS Certification required.
• PALS/ENPC and ACLS training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and diagnoses patient needs to provide quality care.
• Completes admission assessments within unit standards.
• Documents nursing diagnoses and teaching needs at admission.
• Develops and communicates plan of care with patient/family.
• Delivers medications per SSH&EC policies and procedures.
• Maintains IV access and monitors IV sites.
• Keeps accurate nursing documentation and plans discharge.
• Reassesses plan of care and patient responses daily.
• Manages staffing assignments and unit activities as needed.
• Demonstrates leadership and role-model behavior.
• Directs licensed and non-licensed staff in care delivery.
• Performs delegated managerial duties and shifts coordination.
• Participates in CQI and safety culture initiatives.
• Maintains licensure and continuing education.
• Ensures compliance with safety and infection control policies.
