Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join the Vascular Surgery team. The AP Provider will cover inpatient rounding and outpatient care, with potential OR coverage.

Located at McHenry and Huntley Hospitals, schedule is Monday through Friday with call requirements. The role emphasizes clinical expertise, collaboration with physicians, patient education, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PA program required.
• Acute care certification required for APRNs; inpatient experience considered in lieu.
• Illinois RN license and APRN license; PA license in Illinois if applicable; MSO credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive health assessments and physical exams.
• Provides direct clinical care and prescribes medications.
• Orders and interprets labs and imaging as permitted.
• Educates patients and families; documents care thoroughly.
• Refers to other disciplines and collaborates with teams.
