Job summary

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, diagnoses, treats, and manages acute, critical and chronic illnesses in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Obtains histories, conducts exams, prescribes therapies and treatments.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic studies and coordinates care with physicians.
• Provides care coordination including pre-operative planning and discharge planning.
• Prescribes and regulates pharmacologic therapies across care settings.
• Maintains patient care plans and records per standards.
• Directs nursing staff in patient care; ensures adherence to department policies.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care; applies growth and development considerations.
