Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking an Acute Care Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care across diverse acute care units within our Magnet-recognized health system.

You will join a team that supports multiple specialties including Level I Trauma, Neurology & Stroke, Infectious Disease, Cardiac & Telemetry, and Post-Surgical & Orthopedic areas, with opportunities for teaching and growth.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience.
• Current Louisiana RN license (or eligibility).
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• BLS present.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based, patient- and family-centered nursing care across a variety of acute care units.
• Rapidly assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Demonstrate clinical adaptability when transitioning between specialties and patient populations.
• Precept nursing students and new graduate nurses.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
