Job summary

UC San Diego's Jacobs Medical Center 5FG is seeking a CNA/Clinical Care Partner to support basic patient care and activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with patient transport, specimen transport, and inventory management in a 24-bed Oncology/Palliative Care unit.

The role emphasizes teamwork, prioritization, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, holistic care.

Qualifications

• Active California CNA license.
• BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six months of hire date.
• Demonstrated ability to observe deviations from normal.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and assistance with activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Perform uncomplicated technical procedures and operate basic medical equipment.
• Assist patient transport, specimen and blood product transport, and inventory management.
• Participate in collaborative team environment, including training/evaluation of peers and scheduling.
