Job summary

Bradford Health Services is seeking a Charge Nurse to lead a nursing unit, coordinating staff, admissions, and patient flow to ensure safe, timely, evidence-based care. You will mentor nursing staff and liaise with physicians to support collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires an active RN license with 3–5 years of clinical experience, strong leadership, and commitment to high-quality patient outcomes. BLS is required; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States.
• 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in an acute care or hospital setting.
• Demonstrated leadership or charge nurse experience is highly desirable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of nursing best practices, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff activities during assigned shifts to ensure optimal patient care delivery.
• Manage patient admissions, discharges, and transfers to maintain smooth unit operations and bed availability.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff, providing guidance on complex patient care situations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and social workers to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements within the unit.
• Address and resolve any patient or staff concerns promptly to maintain a positive and professional care environment.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education programs to enhance clinical outcomes.
