Responsibilities

• Initial evaluation and treatment of admitted surgical patients.
• Write appropriate orders within delegation agreements.
• Daily rounds to evaluate medical, social and educational needs.
• Communicate findings with attending physician and nursing staff.
• Document progress notes and treatment plans.
• Assist with discharge planning and referrals to ancillary services.
• Act as a clinical resource and participate in performance improvement.
