Job summary

GBMC HealthCare seeks a clinically skilled physician assistant or adult nurse practitioner to manage patient care under general supervision. Requirements include completion of PA or NP program, Maryland licensure, CPR and ACLS certifications, and at least one year of acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Physician Assistant Program or Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Licensed as a Physician Assistant or Adult Nurse Practitioner by Maryland boards.
• CPR and ACLS certifications completed.
• 1 year acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate admitted surgical patients and write orders within delegated authority.
• Perform admission history and physical with documentation.
• Discuss findings with attending physician and nursing staff and adjust treatment accordingly.
• Daily rounds to assess medical, social, and educational needs of patients.
• Document progress notes and referrals to appropriate departments.
