You will assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients within your scope and area of specialty, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and staff to promote positive outcomes.

Applicants must hold a Master’s in Nursing, WV APRN licensure or eligibility, national APRN certification, and BLS with ALS/ACLS as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as RN and APRN in West Virginia.
• BLS required with ALS/ACLS training as department discretion.

Responsibilities

• Administers or orders diagnostic tests such as x-ray and POC labs.
• Examines patients to obtain information about their condition.
• Educates patients about prescribed regimens and health maintenance.
• Interprets diagnostic test results and makes management decisions.
• Obtains and records patient data using the Meditech EMR.
• Performs procedures and may prescribe therapy or medications electronically.
• Coordinates with medical assistants during care and treatment.
• Provides emergency support and communicates with staff and administration.
