Job summary

The Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Inc. is seeking a Psychiatric Technician to provide compassionate patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. You will document intake and output, monitor ADLs, and help adapt care plans to individual needs in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, 12-lead EKGs, and point-of-care testing after appropriate training, while communicating effectively with patients and families to support recovery and safety.

Qualifications

• Provides designated patient care under direct supervision of a licensed nurse and records I&O and ADL data accurately.
• Performs phlebotomy, 12-lead EKGs, FSBS testing, POC testing after certification and training.
• Communicates with patients and families to support care-planning and relies on nursing guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide designated patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Record intake and output, and ADLs in the computer and flow sheet.
• Assist with patient care activities, including basic hygiene and feeding as needed.
• Adhere to safety and infection control guidelines and report observations to the nurse.
