Job summary

Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas is seeking a Psych Tech to provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse, following physicians' orders and approved care standards.

Responsibilities include recording intake/output and ADLs, performing phlebotomy, 12-lead EKGs, FSBS testing and POC testing after certification, and assisting with bathing and meals while communicating observations to the nurse to support care planning.

Qualifications

• Performs designated patient care under licensed nurse supervision per orders.
• Office charting of intake/output and ADLs per standards.
• Must obtain certification for phlebotomy and POC testing.
• Communicates observations to the nurse to aid care planning.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Performs phlebotomy, 12-lead EKGs and POC testing after certification.
• Assists with bathing, meals and daily living activities as needed.
• Records graphics, intake/output and ADL data accurately in the system.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and the care team.
