Job summary

Raleigh Oaks Behavioral Health, part of Summit BHC, is seeking a Nurse Supervisor RN for the Acute unit in Garner, North Carolina. The role plans and supervises direct care nursing staff, ensuring patient care excellence and adherence to standards of practice.

Essential duties include supervising nursing care, coordinating with medical and behavioral health staff, managing schedules, and maintaining compliance with patient safety. On-site work with opportunities to lead quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
• Two or more years’ experience as an RN required.
• One or more years’ experience in behavioral health experience required.
• Valid current RN license from the state or from a compact state, where applicable.
• Certified in Psychiatric Nursing preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.

Responsibilities

• Provides, delegates, coordinates and evaluates nursing care for patients.
• Identifies and prioritizes issues as set by leadership.
• Communicates instructions, expectations and timelines clearly.
• Updates the plan of care as goals/objectives are met or patient condition changes.
• Ensures comprehensive nursing assessments within eight hours of admission and care plans initiated.
• Schedules staff to ensure full coverage and unit needs are met.
• Administers medications and maintains records.
