Job summary

Textron Aviation in Monroe, Washington seeks an Engineer-Group Lead to guide a team of engineers responsible for actuation development, design, qualification, and production support for AeroMotion. You will coordinate with project managers and other groups to align schedules, priorities, and budgets, while fostering teamwork and technical growth.

Lead activities include reviewing design packages, mentoring staff, and driving technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in aviation, engineering, or related field.
• Experience with SolidWorks & SolidWorks PDM preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electro-mechanical actuators and related components.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, and qualify actuators for AeroMotion.
• Review and approve design packages and reports from direct reports.
• Develop strategic growth and leadership opportunities for team members.
• Coordinate with department manager on schedules, resources, and priorities.
• Communicate status information to management, customers, and authorities.
• Recruit interns, entry-level engineers, experienced engineers, and contractors.
