Job summary

Sentry Insurance in Stevens Point, WI offers an Actuary Internship with a mentor to learn actuarial functions and network with leadership. You will contribute to data-driven projects across rate adequacy, reserves, and company operations, gaining practical experience early in your career.

You will join a hybrid program with in-office collaboration Tue–Thu and remote work Mon & Fri, plus housing/parking support and a meal stipend depending on location.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Mathematics, Statistics or related field preferred
• At least one actuarial exam completed is preferred
• Obtain a minimum in-major GPA of 3.0
• Expected graduation date of December 2027 through May 2029
• Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience

Responsibilities

• Compile and categorize data
• Complete assignments which pertain to monitoring rate adequacy
• Manage corporate insurance risks
• Perform basic statistical analysis
• Evaluate loss and expense reserves
• Become familiar with company operations, systems, and actuarial methodologies
