Job summary

National Life Group is seeking an Actuarial Systems Analyst within the Life & Annuity Solutions team to design, implement, and manage life and annuity products and riders. You will resolve issues creatively, balancing priorities and delivering accurate results in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, testing rigor, and proactive problem solving, with an onsite schedule four days a week (Mon–Thu) subject to change with notice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–5 years experience in systems or systems support, product implementation or related role in financial services.
• Basic understanding of life and annuity product mechanics.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong mathematical, analytical and written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze product changes to identify potential system modifications and draft business requirements.
• Continue expanding knowledge of life and annuity products, benefit structures, calculations, and systems.
• Develop and refine test strategies, validation approaches, and tools used to validate rates, calculations, values, and system behavior.
• Create and maintain tools and applications that support accurate implementation and administration of life and annuity products.
• Develop and maintain system-based rule configurations to reflect product features in admin and illustration environments.
• Provide product and policy analysis and collaborate with other areas to support contract administration.
• Guide and train Associate Actuarial Systems Analysts as appropriate.
