Job summary

National Life Group is seeking an Associate Actuary for Annuity Pricing within Life & Annuity Solutions. The role focuses on design, modeling, pricing, and regulatory support for indexed and fixed annuity products. You will work with Distribution, Marketing and product teams to align new features with strategic goals.

Expect collaboration with senior leaders, and mentoring of actuarial analysts. The position is onsite four days per week, with core days Mon–Thu, subject to change.

Qualifications

• FSA or career ASA designation from the SOA.
• Minimum 6 years of actuarial experience with annuities.
• Strong actuarial modeling using MG-ALFA.
• Familiarity with valuation, tax, and risk regulations.
• Ability to collaborate with leadership and stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Background check completion may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide pricing results and sensitivity analyses to senior actuaries and committees.
• Present features and results to leadership and project teams.
• Review experience studies and set pricing assumptions.
• Prepare materials for state approvals and actuarial reports.
• Collaborate with forms team and review product specs.
• Coordinate with external consultants and mentor juniors.
