Job summary

Capital Insurance Group invites applications for the Actuarial Summer Internship based in Reno, NV. This fully in-office program develops future actuarial leaders through hands-on projects and mentorship from experienced actuaries.

Interns pursue or hold degrees in quantitative fields, with actuarial exams preferred and a GPA of 3.6+. Basic SQL and Python or R knowledge is expected to support analyses and reporting during the internship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or possessing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or related quantitative subjects.
• Completion of one or more actuarial exams is highly preferred.
• GPA of 3.6 or higher is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and Python or R is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gain industry expertise in core actuarial disciplines and lead own analyses under supervision.
• Participate in the actuarial internship program to develop technical insurance leadership skills.

Job Overview
