Job summary

Capital Insurance Group's Actuarial Internship Program offers hands-on experience in actuarial disciplines at our Reno, NV office. Interns will gain industry expertise and lead their own analyses under the supervision of seasoned actuaries.

Candidates pursuing or holding degrees in actuarial science, CS, data science, economics or statistics, with one or more exams and a GPA of 3.6+ are preferred. Basic SQL and Python or R knowledge is helpful; US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or possessing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or related quantitative subjects.
• Completion of one or more actuarial exams is highly preferred.
• GPA of 3.6 or higher is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and Python or R is preferred.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Gain industry expertise in core actuarial disciplines and lead analyses under supervision of seasoned actuaries.
• Support actuarial projects and contribute to teamwork within the Analytics team.
