Job summary

Capital Insurance Group invites applicants to join its Actuarial Summer Internship from our Monterey, CA office. This fully in-office program develops future leaders in actuarial science, data analytics, and related quantitative fields.

Interns gain hands-on experience, work on real analyses under senior actuaries, and are expected to be pursuing or holding a degree in actuarial or quantitative disciplines with exam progression and strong GPA. US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or possessing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or related quantitative subjects.
• Completion of one or more actuarial exams is highly preferred.
• GPA of 3.6 or higher is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and Python or R is preferred.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Actuarial interns will gain industry expertise in core actuarial disciplines and lead their own analysis under supervision of seasoned actuaries.
