Job summary

Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi invites motivated students to join our Actuarial Team as interns for a 10–12 week program in Flowood, MS. You will support pricing, reserve analysis and data tasks, applying theoretical modeling to real healthcare data while gaining exposure to senior actuarial staff.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics or related field with Junior standing by Spring 2027.
• GPA of 3.25 or higher required.
• Strong PC skills with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to pricing, reserves, trend analysis and healthcare economics.
• Extract and clean claims data for actuarial analysis.
• Prepare exhibits and memos for senior leadership per actuarial standards.
• Collaborate with analysts and credentialed actuaries on daily tasks.
