Job summary

Aon plc is seeking an STG Actuarial Associate Director in Chicago to lead reserving and pricing initiatives for P&C clients. You will guide quarterly reserve analyses, model development, and data-driven insights, collaborating across teams to deliver strategic actuarial solutions.

The role emphasizes leadership in client-facing engagements, regulatory adherence, and advanced analytics using R, SQL, and Python, with a hybrid work model in major US cities including Chicago.

Qualifications

• ACAS or equivalent credential required.
• 7+ years in actuarial reserving for P&C.
• Experience with NAIC Statements of Actuarial Opinions preferred.
• Experience in pricing methods, GLMs, ML, and regulatory frameworks preferred.
• Proven leadership in client-facing roles with pricing/modeling solutions.
• Proficiency in R, SQL, Python.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Actuarial Science/Statistics/Data Science/Economics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead quarterly loss and LAE reserve analyses and presentations.
• Perform data exploration, forecasting, and modeling to identify trends and drivers of reserve results.
• Oversee allocation of held bulk reserves to granular levels; support accounting for loss-based accruals.
• Perform QA and peer reviews for technical accuracy and compliance.
• Review procedures and implement improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop pricing models using predictive analytics and ML; ensure regulatory alignment.
