Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4 or more actuarial exams passed.
• 5+ years of actuarial/health care economics or similar experience.
• 2+ years mentoring Actuarial students / junior staff members.
• Extensive knowledge of design and pricing concepts and methodologies in health care.
• Basic or higher level of proficiency in SAS, SQL or other programming system.

Responsibilities

• Provide design and oversight of complex actuarial models related to pricing and risk assumptions for Part D.
• Lead actuarial efforts affecting new and existing business.
• Provide direction for competitive analysis development.
• Determine impact of actions on premiums and product proposals.
• Mentor and develop actuarial team members.
• Oversee development of actuarial pricing models.
• Develop pricing methodologies and assumptions.
• Analyze forecasts and trends.
• Assist with designing and analyzing new products.
• Identify and resolve technical, operational and organizational problems.
