Job summary

SageSure is hiring a Manager, Actuarial for the Businessowners Policy (BOP) Product Development unit of our Commercial Actuarial team. You will drive day-to-day execution, manage a small team, and translate business requests into analytical solutions. On-site three days per week in multiple offices including Jersey City, NJ.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in actuarial science or STEM, ACAS/FCAS, and 5+ years in P&C insurance with strong communication and SQL/R skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of P&C insurance experience.
• Strong understanding of Commercial Property or Businessowners Policy (BOP) products is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage the product development of new and existing Businessowner Policy products.
• Lead rate adequacy reviews and renewal impact analyses to support profitable growth of SageSure Commercial Lines.
• Manage end-to-end product filings, including responses to rate-related objections from Insurance Departments.
• Assist with research projects, including analysis of predictive model results and value of third-party data in risk segmentation and rating.
• Conduct competitive intelligence analyses.
• Communicate analyses and project results to staff, peers, and business partners.
• Manage and guide the professional development of 2–4 direct reports.
