CBIZ, Inc. and Optumas invite actuarial/finance‑minded interns to join their healthcare consulting team in Phoenix. You will participate in client conference calls and perform analytical project work as part of a client‑facing team.

You will analyze health care data using Excel and statistical software (SAS, SQL, WPS, Python) and help with data manipulation, presentations, and timely delivery across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Intern must be working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, finance, statistics or related field
• Minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.25
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Interest in healthcare finance and policy
• Ability to fit in and work with a driven, dedicated team
• Exposure to data analytical programming (SAS, SQL, WPS, Python) is beneficial but not required
• Successful completion of actuarial exams is beneficial but not required

Interns are provided with a broad range of experiences and opportunity to gain experience learning new skills through active participation as part of a client team. Responsibilities include attending client conference calls, performing various analytical project work, and completing on the job training.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

Performing and reviewing analysis of health care data using Excel
