Job summary

Berkley Southeast Insurance Group (BSIG), part of W. R. Berkley Corporation, is seeking an experienced actuarial professional to support pricing, reserving, and forecasting.

The role emphasizes data-driven analysis, collaboration, and lead responsibilities in loss ratio forecasting from our Lawrenceville, GA office. The position requires 4+ years of P&C actuarial work, multiple actuarial exams, and strong Excel skills; SQL and Power BI experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of Property & Casualty actuarial work.
• Successful completion of at least four actuarial exams.
• Excellent knowledge of Excel; SQL and Power BI a plus.

Responsibilities

• Procure and organize data for pricing, reserving, and forecasting.
• Lead loss ratio forecasting using research, analysis, collaboration and judgment.
• Support Rate Reviews, Ratemaking, and Actuarial Indications by analyzing data on price, exposure, losses, policy and claim counts.
• Regularly estimate adequate loss and expense reserves.
• Support the company’s planning processes.
• Assist Underwriting in identifying profitable segments and propose corrective actions.
• Support advanced analytics and modeling techniques.
• Assist in enterprise risk management including catastrophe modeling and economic capital.
