Job summary

Aon plc is seeking an Actuarial Project Manager to lead the RAPID initiative, driving end-to-end delivery of actuarial modernization projects across Actuarial, Data/Analytics, Technology, and Operations teams.

Based in the US with a hybrid work model, you will coordinate cross-disciplinary efforts, manage plans, and ensure quality and compliance while guiding change-management activities and stakeholder communications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing projects or programs, preferably involving data, analytics, or technology-enabled process change.
• Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Proficiency with Azure cloud capabilities and modern data platforms like Databricks.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated success in completing projects on schedule and within scope.
• Experience with standard project management and collaboration tools.
• Strong attention to detail, work ethic, and a self‑starter mentality.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of actuarial process modernization projects.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Coordinate work across Actuarial, Data/Analytics, Technology, and Operations teams.
• Facilitate requirements gathering with Actuarial SMEs; translate business needs into clear, actionable plans.
• Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams using Databricks to meet business and technical requirements.
• Manage project governance, status reporting, and communication to multiple levels of collaborators.
• Proactively identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Inspire change management activities, including collaborator engagement and training coordination.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and compliance expectations.
• Capture lessons learned and contribute to guidelines for future initiatives.
