Job summary

Allied World is seeking an Actuarial Associate in North America to support pricing of treaty submissions and actuarial model testing. You will collect industry data for pricing tools and prepare data for the pricing database, while meeting with brokers and clients as needed.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or a related technical field, 0–2 years of experience, and CAS exam progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or another technical major.
• 0-2 years related work experience.
• Completion of at least one Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) actuarial exam.
• Recent actuarial internship experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Knowledge of VBA and SAS is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pricing individual treaty submissions.
• Contribute to the testing and improvement of actuarial models.
• Collect and analyze industry data for usage within pricing tools.
• Prepare data for inclusion in pricing database.
• Meet with brokers and clients as required.
