Job summary

Allied World Insurance Company in New York, NY seeks an entry-level Actuarial Pricing Analyst to support the pricing of individual treaty submissions. You will assist in model testing, prepare data for pricing databases, and analyze industry data for pricing tools, while pursuing casual actuarial society exams.

Ideal candidates hold a math-based degree, 0–2 years of related experience, proficiency in Excel, and a willingness to grow professionally through mentoring and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or another technical major.
• 0–2 years related work experience.
• Completion of at least one Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) actuarial exam.
• Recent actuarial internship experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Knowledge of VBA and SAS is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize efficiently.

The salary range for this role is between: $75,000 – $85,000 The annualized base pay range is a broad range based on analysis of similar positions in the market. The actual base pay for the position may be above or below the listed range and determined by a number of considerations, including but not limited to complexity, location, and scope of the role, along with experience, skills, education, training, and other conditions of employment. Base salary represents one component of Allied World’s comprehensive total reward package, which may also include annual incentive compensation rewards.
