Transatlantic Holdings, Inc. is seeking an Associate Actuary to join the Pricing team in New York City. This role involves working closely with Underwriting teams to evaluate deals and provide insights into decision-making processes.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of actuarial pricing experience in the P&C industry, preferably with a focus on reinsurance. TransRe offers a hybrid work schedule along with a competitive salary range between $165,000 and $200,000 annually.
The Associate Actuary will work within the Pricing team in New York City and will report to a Senior Pricing Actuary. This role will work directly with Underwriting teams to evaluate deals and advise on final decision‑making processes. There will be great visibility to senior leadership in both the Underwriting and Actuarial teams.
TransRe is supportive of an agile work schedule, which may differ based on individual roles, your local office’s practices and preferences, marketplace trends, and TransRe’s business objectives. This position is located in our New York City office and is eligible for a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the office per week and 2 days remote.
In addition to base salary, for this position TransRe offers a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, and incentive pay opportunity. The anticipated annual base salary range in New York for this position, exclusive of benefits, paid time off, and incentive pay opportunity is $165,000 – $200,000. This range is an estimate and the actual base salary offered will be determined based on factors including the applicant’s specific skill set and level of experience.
