Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, statistics, computer science, economics.
• Completion of at least one actuarial exam preferred.
• Beginner to intermediate PC programming skills enabling extraction and manipulation of data (SAS, SQL, Python).
• Beginner to intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency to analyze and present actuarial information (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to continue participation in the actuarial exam program.

Responsibilities

• Collect data, perform analyses, and present results for pricing indications, loss reserve reviews and financial modeling.
• Develop and document methodologies and reporting to improve profitability and accuracy.
• Participate in special projects related to statistical modeling and reporting mechanisms.
• Communicate with other departments and industry groups on informational needs and practices.
• Progress toward actuarial accreditation through successful completion of actuarial exams.
