Zing Health is seeking an entry-level Actuarial Analyst in Illinois to join our actuarial team. This role offers hands-on experience in core actuarial functions within a mission-driven healthcare environment.

You will gain exposure to IBNR reserves, Medicare Advantage bids, and forecasting while developing practical data analytics skills. Ideal for recent graduates pursuing SOA exams; strong Excel and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Completion of at least one Society of Actuaries (SOA) exam
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) reserves for monthly close processes
• Support monthly financial reconciliation for Value-Based Providers
• Contribute to the development and submission of Medicare Advantage bids
• Assist with quarterly forecasting and trend analysis
• Perform financial analysis and build actuarial models
• Develop actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis
