Elevance Healthunciaris is seeking an Actuarial Analyst III to analyze risk contracts, perform experience analyses and support capitation initiatives. The role emphasizes collaboration, training, and contributing to Medicare PBM projects.

You will leverage Excel and SAS, with opportunities to expand skills in R, Snowflake and AI tools while working in a hybrid, in-office and remote environment. A BA/BS and 4 SOA exams with 3+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a BA/BS and to have passed a minimum of four Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams and a minimum of 3 years related experience.
• Alternate education/experience may be considered to provide equivalent background.

Responsibilities

• Analyze risk contracts including experience analyses, pricing, filing and settlement work.
• Prepare management reports supporting new capitation initiatives.
• Coordinate/direct special actuarial projects and assist in training of actuarial staff.
• Engage in PBM initiatives and pharmacy claim forecasting for Medicare growth.

Position Title: Actuarial Analyst III

Job Description: Actuarial Analyst III Locations: This role requires associates to be in-office 1-2 days per week fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office. The Actuarial Analyst III completes very diverse and complicated projects and performs very complex actuarial studies.

How you will make an Impact: Analyzes and implements risk contracts including conducting experience analyses, pricing, filing and settlement work; and prepares management reports supporting new capitation initiatives. Assists in training of actuarial trainees, analysts and specialists. Coordinates/directs special actuarial projects. Engage in the dynamic and rewarding field of pharmacy claim forecasting and analysis, primarily for Medicare, while collaborating on cutting-edge Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) initiatives. Leverage and expand your expertise in Excel and SAS, with the opportunity to enhance your skills in R, Snowflake and AI tools, as you contribute to impactful projects that drive innovation and efficiency in healthcare solutions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires a BA/BS and to have passed a minimum of four Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams and a minimum of 3 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Experiences and Competencies:

• Healthcare Industry experience
• Understanding of pharmacy claims, drug utilization, unit cost trends, and key drivers of Medicare Part D financial performance.
