Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking an Actuarial Analyst I to assist in determining rates, analyze and validate statistical data, and support the Medicaid Pricing lead with rate impacts and projections.

Actuarial Analyst I

Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. Actuarial Analyst I is responsible for assisting in the determination of rates. Analyzes, develops and validates statistical data. The Analyst will support the Medicaid Pricing lead in developing rate impacts and assisting with projections among other actuarial analyses.

How You Will Make an Impact

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Under limited supervision, applies the appropriate actuarial analytical tools to the data and performs preliminary actuarial and statistical analysis.
• Updates actuarial pricing, valuation and forecasting models as directed.
• Refines and collects appropriate data for actuarial analysis and ensures its reasonableness and accuracy by coordination within the division.

Minimum Requirements

Requires a BA/BS degree and to have passed a minimum of one Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) actuarial exam; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
