Job summary

Americo Financial Life and Annuity is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join their actuarial team in the Kansas City area. The role targets recent graduates or early career professionals pursuing actuarial credentials and will support pricing initiatives, product development and valuation efforts for the life and annuity portfolio.

You will work on pricing and design of life insurance products, assist with experience studies, prepare models for profitability and reserve calculations, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related field.
• SOA exam completion is preferred.
• Strong analytical, conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excel proficiency; knowledge of AXIS Prophet and SQL/Python/R is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pricing and design of life insurance products including term, whole life, UL, and annuities.
• Support experience studies and assumption development for mortality, lapse and expense trends.
• Prepare actuarial models for profitability, cash flow testing and reserve calculations.
• Collaborate with departments to support product launches and regulatory filings.
