Job summary

Milliman is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst to support health and welfare benefits programs. The role focuses on data analysis, deliverables, and financial reviews, with collaboration across Milliman teams.

Excel proficiency and SOA progress are important. The position requires in-person work two days a week at the New York City office, with a broader Milliman EB Consulting team supporting retirement and healthcare initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, business, or related field preferred (or nearing completion).
0-2 years of Actuarial Analyst experience (entry level).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus.
SOA exam: at least one passed preferred.

Responsibilities

Support actuarial and benefits consultants with data analysis and deliverables.
Prepare budget projections, experience reports, and claims data reconciliation.
Assist with financial reviews, pricing plan design changes, and renewals analysis.
Collaborate with internal Milliman teams and maintain documentation and retention policies.
Communicate clearly and draft professional emails and documentation.
