Job summary

Zurich North America in Schaumburg, IL is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join the Reserving Transformation team in a hybrid role. The position focuses on modernization, AI-enabled automation, and improved decision support within actuarial reserving processes.

You will work with cross-functional teams to implement improvements, modernize reporting, and translate business challenges into practical, data-driven solutions using Python, Databricks, Power BI, Excel, and SQL.

Qualifications

• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice or a Bachelor’s Degree with 3.0 GPA and actuarial exam progress.
• Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams.
• Progress toward CAS exams and ACAS/FCAS designations is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into practical solutions.
• Experience with Python, Databricks, Power BI, Excel, SQL or similar technologies.

Responsibilities

• Support actuarial transformation initiatives, including process simplification and modernization.
• Help shape and implement Agentic AI opportunities across actuarial reserving processes.
• Partner with Group transformation teams ensuring alignment with enterprise capabilities.
• Prioritize and collaborate with the BU Reporting team to modernize reporting capabilities.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate operational challenges into AI, automation, and reporting solutions.
