Actuarial Analyst (P&C Insurance | Remote-First | U.S.)

James Search Group is currently working with a leading Property & Casualty insurer looking to add an Actuarial Analyst to their growing actuarial team. This opportunity is ideal for an early-career actuarial professional who enjoys applying quantitative analysis to real-world insurance challenges while continuing progress toward their CAS credentials.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with credentialed actuaries and business partners to support pricing, reserving, and portfolio performance analysis across personal lines products. The position offers strong exposure to actuarial methodologies, business strategy, and cross-functional projects within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support monthly and quarterly loss reserving analyses and related reporting
• Analyze historical loss and exposure data to support pricing improvements
• Assist in preparing reports, exhibits, and presentations for actuarial and business stakeholders
• Provide internal data analysis and insights to support actuarial and product development initiatives
• Contribute to regulatory reporting and internal analytics using company and industry datasets

What We’re Looking For

• 2–4 years of actuarial or insurance analytics experience
• Minimum of 2 CAS exams completed, actively pursuing FCAS designation
• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience using analytical tools and software to extract, analyze, and present data
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Exposure to personal lines P&C insurance is a plus

Location

Remote-first with the option to work hybrid from one of 12 U.S. office locations.
