Position Overview
We are hiring for an ACTT Registered Nurse (RN) – Regular. This role provides oversight and general nursing care and services to persons with behavioral health challenges in the community, performing duties listed in the job description. The ACTT team offers integrated crisis response, crisis stabilization interventions, and crisis prevention activities for individuals with intellectual, developmental, mental health, and substance use challenges.
Responsibilities
- Follow the supports and services indicated in the recipient’s Crisis Plan, which is a component of all person‑centered plans.
- Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team by attending Person‑Centered Plan meetings and developing plans as requested.
- Monitor consumers and take appropriate action for side effects and adverse reactions to medications.
- Assist team members with assessing learning needs of consumers and carry out teaching as indicated.
Qualifications
- Active RN license (unencumbered Registered Nursing License).
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- Preferred: One year of nursing experience; experience in behavioral health nursing preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance coverage (condition of employment).
- Maintained proficiency in company‑sponsored training, certifications, and privileging as required.
- Successful completion of pre‑employment screening including criminal background check, name checks in registries (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities), drug testing, education verification, and other credentialing based on position requirements.
Physical & Other Requirements
- Lift up to 20 lbs; must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs and pull a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop.
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls regularly.
- Must regularly stand and walk.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level, requiring work on hands, knees, bending, standing, and lifting.
- Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision; must be able to talk and hear.
