Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare in Asheville, NC is seeking a dependable ACTT On-Call Response Specialist to provide after-hours crisis support for ACTT participants. The role involves crisis intervention, coordination with licensed clinicians, and documenting all activities.

The position is full-time with a nightly overnight shift, Sunday through Thursday, at $24.50 per hour. Eligible candidates should have a high school diploma; degrees in human services are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelor\'s in human services, behavioral health, psychology, social work, counseling or related field preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health, crisis intervention, community-based services or related human services setting preferred.
• Experience with crisis response, crisis de-escalation or behavioral health support preferred.
• Strong communication, active listening, problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations and exercise sound judgment when determining when to upscale a crisis.
• Ability to work independently during assigned coverage while collaborating with licensed clinicians as needed.
• Must meet NC ACTT staff qualifications, training requirements, and credentialing requirements.
• A valid driver\'s license and safe driving record required if driving is assigned.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications are required as applicable to the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct crisis response to ACTT participants experiencing behavioral health or psychiatric concerns.
• Use active listening, supportive engagement, and crisis de-escalation techniques to help individuals manage difficult situations and promote safety.
• Review individualized crisis plans and available treatment information to guide appropriate responses.
• Recognize immediate safety concerns and coordinate the appropriate level of support within your qualifications and scope of practice.
• Collaborate with ACTT team members, licensed clinicians, psychiatric providers, hospitals, emergency services, and community resources to support crisis stabilization.
• Escalate situations requiring licensed clinical assessment, psychiatric consultation, face-to-face intervention, or emergency services.
• Coordinate face-to-face crisis response when initial interventions are insufficient, as required by program procedures.
• Document crisis calls, interventions, referrals, consultations, and follow-up activities accurately and promptly.
• Communicate with the ACTT team to support continuity of care and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow organizational policies, crisis response procedures, and applicable North Carolina ACTT requirements.
