Job summary

Arbour Hospital in the greater Boston area seeks an Activity Therapist to join its inpatient multidisciplinary treatment team. You will provide expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities on inpatient psychiatric units.

The role requires a Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, or related field, and experience leading groups in psychiatric settings is preferred. You will document thoroughly and coordinate with the treatment team.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience as a group leader in a psychiatric hospital, partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient treatment program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop appropriate treatment goals.
• Facilitate 4 groups per day.
• Complete group documentation and communicate with other members of the treatment team via treatment planning and team meetings.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
