Job summary

Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Svc is seeking an Activity Therapist to join our interdisciplinary treatment team. You will plan, organize, and implement expressive arts, recreation, or occupational therapy activities and psycho-educational programming tailored to patient goals.

You will assess patients within 72 hours of admission and collaborate with clinicians to support recovery, with a focus on compassionate, high-quality care in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Recreational Therapy is required.
• Registered as a therapist or CTRS certification.
• Minimum of three months of relevant psychiatric/medical/clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete individualized patient assessment within 72 hours of admission and plan, implement, and facilitate DBT‑I and psychoeducational programming.
• Document interactions and participate in interdisciplinary team treatment planning.
• Identify project and process improvements in coordination with unit and departmental goals.
