Job summary

Huntington Woods Care and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Activities Assistant to support daily resident activities and help residents engage in social, educational, and therapeutic programs.

You will assist with planning, leading, and documenting activities, and work closely with the Activity Director and caregiving team to ensure residents’ well-being and meaningful engagement.

Qualifications

• Dependable, patient, creative and compassionate qualities are required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are required.
• Experience with seniors or dementia is a plus.

• Assist with planning and leading daily resident activities.
• Encourage participation in recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities.
• Provide one-on-one activities for residents who prefer or require individual engagement.
• Assist with special events, holidays, outings, and entertainment.
• Build positive relationships with residents and encourage socialization.
• Document resident participation and activity outcomes.
• Assist with maintaining the activity calendar and supplies.
• Follow all facility policies and safety requirements.
• Work closely with the Activity Director and interdisciplinary team.
