Greenfield of Perkiomen Valley Senior Living Community is seeking an Activity Director responsible for planning and implementing programs and events that promote socialization, fitness, wellness, education, recreation, and spiritual support based on residents’ needs and preferences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement resident lifestyle programs, including outside trips and events.
  • Survey residents to understand their interests, talents, and satisfaction with activities.
  • Respect residents' individuality, diversity, and spirituality when planning activities and celebrations.
  • Build relationships with residents to encourage participation and enhance quality of life.
  • Monitor residents’ behavior and report significant changes.
  • Maintain residents' dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
  • Use community resources and contractors to enrich programs.
  • Manage the department budget and maintain records.
  • Ensure availability of supplies and equipment.
  • Communicate regularly with residents through newsletters and calendars.
  • Coordinate with Assisted Living and Transportation departments for daily activities and outings.
  • Transport residents safely and assist with community errands.
  • Assist in hiring, training, and supervising staff as needed.
  • Coordinate volunteers and maintain an organized program area.
  • Perform all responsibilities professionally and courteously.
  • Oversee the Transportation Department and ensure policy compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in planning activities for elderly residents and organizing programs for residents, families, and staff.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm and positive attitude towards activities and team support.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Other titles: Life Enrichment Director, Community Lifestyle, Recreational Therapist, Lifestyle Director, Activities Director.
