• 2 years' experience in geriatrics, recreation, or social administration.

Activity Director (Health and Wellness Director)

Position Details

Responsibilities

• Coordinate social and recreational activities with residents, working closely with the Resident Engagement Director.
• Plan and attend off-campus trips, arrange transportation, and coordinate community outings.
• Manage the Community Garden Club, including working with ground crews for optimal resident experience.
• Create and distribute informational materials about events and activities.
• Assist with purchasing supplies and conducting resident orientations.
• Monitor resident concerns and communicate with social services as needed.
• Participate in daily meetings and complete administrative tasks promptly.
• Work according to the MOD schedule, including one weekend every two months.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree with two years' experience in geriatrics, recreation, or social administration.
• Experience as an Activity Director in skilled nursing or healthcare settings is required.
• Effective communication skills, basic arithmetic, ability to lift up to 30 lbs., and perform small setups independently.
• Physical ability to assist residents with boarding, sitting, standing, and walking.
