Recover-Care Heartland is seeking an Activities Director to assess, develop, organize, and implement activity services for the patient population. The role focuses on promoting engagement and maintaining functional levels through tailored programs.

The position requires experience in leading recreational activities and related programs, with a preference for coursework in recreation and an established activity-training background. Risk management and patient safety are integral to daily duties.

Formación

• High School Diploma with recreation coursework is desirable.
• Completion of a state approved activity-training course is preferred but not required.
• Experience leading recreational activities, arts/crafts, and educational/community outings is desired.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As an Activities Director you are responsible for assessing, developing, organizing, and implementing of activity/recreational services to address the individualized needs and interests of the overall patient population within the center.

GENERAL DUTIES

• Develop and deliver activity/recreational programs to promote the patients’ opportunities for engaging in normal life enhancement pursuits and to increase and/or maintain functioning levels.
• Maintain precautions/limitations list on each patient.
• Encourage patient participation in group and individual activities including arts/crafts, community outings, religious activities, intellectual/educational activities, community/center service activities, recreational activities, etc.
• Perform any miscellaneous work assignments as may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma with course work in recreation is desirable; Completion of a state approved activity-training course is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in leading recreational activities, arts/crafts, intellectual/educational activities, community outings, etc., desired.
