Job summary

Complete Care at Shorrock Gardens in New Jersey is seeking an energetic Activity Director to enrich residents' daily lives through engaging programs and compassionate oversight.

You will plan monthly calendars, coordinate with the care team, and ensure activities meet regulatory standards while fostering socialization, creativity, and well-being for all residents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or certification in a relevant field.
• Must possess an ADC, CDP, or CTRS credential.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in long-term care, in a supervisory role.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with standard software.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate monthly activity calendars and newsletters.
• Lead and supervise the Recreation Department staff.
• Develop person-centered activities promoting socialization and well-being.
• Monitor and document quality and regulatory compliance for activities.
• Collaborate with care teams to integrate activities into resident care plans.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
