Job summary

Arcadia Care is opening a new facility in Lincoln, IL, and seeks an Activity Director to design and implement a comprehensive activity program that supports the physical, mental, and psychosocial wellbeing of residents. You will lead group activities, spiritual and educational programs, and exercise sessions, ensuring programming aligns with assessments and resident goals.

You will oversee Activity Aides, document progress in MDS and care plans, and build partnerships with families and community

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Satisfactory completion of a training course for Activity Directors required.
• 2 years minimum of experience in a social or recreational program in a nursing facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and plan activities including group social activities, spiritual programs, creative/educational programs, and exercise activities.
• Oversight of Activity Aides and supervision of activity programming.
• Review resident goals and progress notes; properly document MDS reports.
• Foster relationships with family members and community partners to support the Activity department.

NEW FACILITY OPENING 9/1/2026. The Activity Director provides ongoing program of activities designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial wellbeing of each resident.

Essential Duties:

• Develop and plan activities including, but not limited to: group social activities; spiritual programs; creative and educational programs; and exercise activities.
